Senior Management miss the lost PM

Overheard at the recent Festive Eve Gathering, members of the senior management were talking about the Lost PM and how they didn't get the opportunity to say farewell. While the words 'swarthy' and 'handsome' were not present in abundance, the loss was noted.
Also, it was asked by another party whether the Lost PM would be back and there were hints that he may be.
What developments are we not aware of?
Will the farming stint be a wash-out and the carrot crop not sustain the Lost PM?
